Artist Q&A

Q&A with Rumer

What is your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experience? When we first came to the U.S.A, it was such a low budget tour. We were all cramped in a splitter van and my drummer was driving, and there was three of us to hotel room. Half way through the tour we arrived at this dingy hotel, you know the kind you that you could rent by the hour in Denver, with doors broken off the hinges, and the next morning we woke up and my album was number 1 on Itunes in the U.S because of a CBS sunday piece that aired earlier that day. That was cool.

Which of your songs is your favourite and why? I like 'Play Your Guitar', because it means a lot to me to be part of an artistic community.

What 3 artists have you listened to obsessively in the last month? A new band from England called The Golden Retrievers, another new band called The Church of Malcolm, and I have been listening to Sandie Shaw re-issues.
