Where and when was your first show?
Our first show was at the Ridglea Theatre in Fort Worth Texas. We were thirteen and fifteen years old, without a drivers licenses, and not even old enough to get into the venue without adult supervision. To get on the bill we had begged the owner to listen to the home made tapes we had recorded in our garage practices, and convinced them to let us have an all ages show. I am pretty sure that we guaranteed that if we didn't sell enough tickets we would pay them the remainder of their cost. We made over a thousand fliers and passed them out, and stuck them in cars in the parking lots of every school. Since no one could drive we loaded all of gear into our mom's mini van, and thus Mama Ice became the first GRO roadie. The show actually had a great turn out, we were probably horrible, but tons of kids showed up and we had a blast.
What band/artist would you consider to be your main influence?
This is always a tough question for us because we have been a band for over thirteen years and our sound has consistently changed and evolved. Currently we have been focusing a lot of our songwriting around a southern feel good style that is very reminiscent of the Eagles with a mix of country, rock, and pop. We have been pretty influenced by the Eagles emphasis on background vocals. However we really feel like we have our own sound that is distinctly Green River Ordinance, and we really feel like we just sound like us.
What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences?
Once upon a time we were on tour with American Idol winner David Cook and The Script, and during Davids set The Script and GRO ended up interrupting the show to have a dance battle. Being from Ireland the Script did a fancy river dance, and being from Texas we lined danced. In the end David lost. There were props, leprechaun hats, and good times.

If you were to have a film/movie based on your career, which actors or band would you select to portray yourself?
Geoff would be played by a nerdier more awkward Ryan Gosling.
Jamey would be played by Owen Wilson, because they are the same person.
Joshua would be played by Samuel L. Jackson, because no one else could pull off that intense of a role.
Josh J would be played by Matthew McConaughey.
Denton would be played by both Danny Devito and Jackie Chan.
What two words would best describe your music?
Freedom and Freedom
