When and where was your first show?

Thirsty Thursday's in 2004 - a coffee shop down the road from my college, Lee University, in Cleveland, TN. It was a terrifying yet thrilling experience. I was so nervous about what to say between songs. ha It went well, and from that point on, I was hooked.

What artist/ band would you say you are most influenced by?

I'd say I'm most influenced by Stevie Wonder. His ability to convey energy and excitement through his songwriting and from the keys always bring me back to him. Also, there is a simplicity to his music that I love. It's like strawberry ice cream. You can try every single flavor of the rainbow, but sometimes you just need the time-tested, basic strawberry ice cream.

Favorite Foods: Well, I'm Italian, so I'm going to have to go with classic, homemade marinara sauce topped over ziti with homemade meatballs. All of this must be topped with grated pecorino-romano cheese.  I also love Indian and Thai food.

What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences?

A few years back, I opened for the Fray. It was a sold out show in Charleston. I was just starting out, so it seemed like the biggest thing at the time. My band and I joked after that gig that we were rockstars. ha It was a great memory.

What two words would best describe your music? Classic and danceable
