@JamminJavaMei's Q&A With Secret Agent 23 Skidoo

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is one of the most unique kids acts we have here - super fun, positive, family-friendly, hip hop. Where and when was your first show?

I saw The Cramps play a show at a punk rock club in Bloomington, IN. The Reverend Horton Heat opened up. I've hardly ever been so excited and scared at the same time...I was like 13 or 14 and the mosh pit was insane. So that's exactly the atmosphere I cultivate at my family shows. Naw, I'm just messing with you. There's only been a mosh pit at my family shows like three times.

What band/artist would you consider to be your main influence?

Beastie Boys! For fresh rhymes, super crazy production and mind opening depth without taking themselves too serious, nobody beats the B Boys.

What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences?

I got to freestyle onstage with the P-Funk All Stars during Jazzfest in New Orleans, got to open up for RUN DMC, played a hippo's birthday party in Jersey, and I just jumped out of an airplane to celebrate my new album dropping.

Favorite Food: Turkey Rueben. Or sushi. But not turkey sushi. Ewwwww.

Favorite Drink: Any good IPA. Why, you got the next round?

If you were to have a film/movie based on your career, which actors or band would you select to portray yourself?

I think that's pretty obvious. Benicio Del Toro. And it would be directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

 What two words would best describe your music? Your favorite.
