Where and when was your first show? It's hard to imagine, but I don't actually remember... There were school concerts galore, but probably my first memorable show was at The Blue Note Cafe in Winnipeg, MB. Joey and I backed up our Dad and we played a few of his songs. The Blue Note was a serious institution in Winnipeg. It's long gone now, but a ton of great musician's cut their teeth there...

What band/artist would you consider to be your main influence? There are so many artists that we love, but some of the most influential would be Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Ryan Adams, Little Feat...

What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences? Hmmm.... There have been some whacky moments, most of which I probably should never repeat (in case there are young ears in the audience). I've settled down a lot since my early days on the road, so there are far fewer insane moments... Touring Australia with Imaginary Cities (an indie rock band from our hometown) was pretty surreal. I got to hang out with Wallabies and Kangaroos, drive on the wrong side of the road, skinny dip in the ocean...

Favorite Food: Strawberry shortcake and anything my Mom cooks for Sunday dinner. Comfort food! Favorite Drink: The blood orange flavoured San Pellegrino. Maybe out of a glass filled with ice cubes...

If you were to have a film/movie based on your career, which actors or band would you select to portray yourself? I get Russel Brand a lot, Daniel Day Lewis sometimes... One of those guys maybe?

Cat-Person, Dog-Person, or both? There's a picture attached that should answer this question for you...
