"My greatest skill has been to want little." - Henry David Thoreau, Walden
I get that! Master your appetites! It’s the measure of a man to control his urges and his wants. Are you ordering that beer, or is it ordering you? Do you own that big house (and all the stuff in it), or does it own you? There is nothing wrong with beer or houses, but we over-do most everything. It’s all too much. Practice wanting less, eating and drinking less, and doing less. Practice it like you would practice scales on a piano.
