Artist Q&A

@JamminJavaMei's Q&A With Seth Glier

seth glier

Mei caught up with Seth Glier for a cool Q&A. Seth's been playing Jammin Java for a few years and we're happy to have him back this Sunday! Erick Baker is also on the show. Erick's show here in July was outstanding. Don't miss it! All advance tickets will be entered into a lottery to win a signed CD and handwritten lyrics to a song from Seth Glier and Erick Baker!

Where and when was your first show?

My first show I attended was a Martin Sexton concert in my hometown of Shelburne Falls, MA. I was 10 years old and I was mesmerized by the power of a single voice in a room.

My first show I ever played was at the age of 12. I played the basement of the Greenfield Public Library.

What band/artist would you consider to be your main influence?

I guess I would say I get compared to Billy Joel the most, I am a big fan and all but I think Jackson Browne has rubbed off on me the most. I'm inspired by the classic songwriting styles.

What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences?

Definitely an off the wall experience for me was attending the Grammys in 2012. A album I recorded in my parents basement got nominated for an engineering award. It was a wild ride and one I would have never expected to be part of my journey.

Favorite Food: anything with Brie cheese & triscuit

Favorite Drink: coffee!!!!!!

If you were to have a film/movie based on your career, which actors or band would you select to portray yourself?

Well I'd play myself if J-Lo could be in it with me :)

What two words would best describe your music? Melodic Storytelling
