Artist Q&A

@JamminJavaMei's Q&A With The Kin

The Kin

The Kin have been friends of Jammin Java for years. Luke and Daniel (Brindley Brothers) have played with them many times in NYC and other places and they've played Jammin Java quite a bit. They are a trio made up of two Australian brothers and a percussionist. Their live show features super tight harmonies - the kind only well rehearsed siblings can pull off - and a dynamic, dramatic performance. They just wrapped up a world tour with Pink and are now on their own national headlining tour! They are here 2/24 and tickets are going fast. Don't miss it!

Where and when was your first show?

We opened for the Presidents of the United States of America as The Kin at Bowery Ballroom.

What band/artist would you consider to be your main influence?

This question was easier to answer in the 60s when there were fewer bands...

What is one of your most memorable or off-the-wall touring experiences?

Currently...emptying the grey water from our tour bus... Unfortunately memorable! Playing Staples Center last week was a close second.

If you were to have a film/movie based on your career, which actors or band would you select to portray yourself?

Robin Hood, we are a three headed Errol Flynn

What two words would best describe your music?

Rock and roll
